Outreach. At St. Philip and St. James, we also call it, "Reach Out!" It means we remember that no one can remain content while someone, anyone, remains hungry, cold, left out or alone.
We support several ministries in the Denver metro area and beyond, all of them engaged in "reaching out" to our sisters and brothers in need. In the Loretto Heights area, we support Community Ministries; we also work with St. Francis Center and St. Clare's Kitchen (a Tuesday evening worship and supper program through St. Peter and St. Mary's Episcopal Church in the Baker neighborhood).
We have "hands on" ministries providing Christmas presents for area children, and "focus foods" for the food bank each month; bringing clothing and blankets as needed, too. We also offer financial support for ministries to provide their services more efficiently.
If you are looking for an opportunity to "reach out" as well, let your heart and hands be the heart and hands of Jesus through our work at St. Philip and St. James. Contact the Parish Office and let us know of your desire to serve.
