More about the Pesky Prophets

As I mentioned in my previous post “Prophets and Profits,” our First (Old) Testament reading and psalm this Pentecost are taken from lectionary Track 1. To refresh your memory, please see the above-mentioned post. The focus in track 1 is on the prophets, which I believe to be timely. But understanding why the prophets often come at their listeners with fire and brimstone is not without its challenges.
